Promised Land hotel, Hualien, Taiwan

This is the “Promised Land” hotel in Hualien, Taiwan. We stayed there for one night. Rooms were very nice and the service was good. The hotel has a waterway that runs through the grounds and a boat that will take you around to see the tropical setting that the hotel is in. The pool is also very nice with a multi tiered adult pool with water falls a cave area and a slide that is connected to the spa area. They also have a separate shallow kids pool with a play ground in it. With our nights stay we got a free boat trip around the hotel and two free buffet style meals. All in all a very relaxing and enjoyable place to stay. Be advised you are required to have a spandex style swim suit and swim cap to use the pool.

Mt friends and I will go to Hualien, Taiwan for Summer vacation. Is there any suggested Hualien hotels and attractions?
Hualien County possesses unpolluted natural sceneries. As for the attractions in Hualien, you must visit Taroko National Park, the world famous national scenic spot. The grand canyons and spectacular mountains create the most amazing landscape on the island. My 40 days travelling plan in Taiwan?

Here is my 42 days plan in Taiwan. I would like to ask anyone to help me to improve on it. I am on a budget graduation trip to taiwan. Day 1: Arrive in Taipei Day 2: Beihai & Danshui (Accomodation in Taipei) Day 3: Shifen waterfall + Keelung (Accomodation in Taipei) Day 4: Jiufen + jingua+Northeastern rail (Accomodation in Taipei) Day 5: Yangmingshan (Accomodation in Taipei) Day 6: Ilan’s Toucheng (Accomodation in Taipei) Day 7&8: Taipei City (Accomodation in Taipei) Day 9: Xinchu’s Neiwan (Accomodation in Xinchu city) Day 10: Xin chu city (accomodation in xinchu city or miaoli’s nanzhuang) Day 11: Miaoli’s nanzhuang + Taiya tribe (accomodation in nanzhuang old street) Day 12: Miaoli gongguan + Taichung (Accomodation in Taichung city) Day 13: Taichung city(Accomodation in Taichung city) Day 14: Chingching farm stay (farm stay) Day 15: Chingching farm stay (Accomodation in Taichung city) Day 16: Nantou (Accomodation in Taichung)
Right… where to start? Amendments: – Firstly I would bring days 7 and 8 earlier – possibly as days 2 and 3. In fact with 42 days to spare you can spend more time in Taipei – there are a lot of things to do in Taipei – more so than anywhere else in Taiwan. You could easily spend around 10 days at least of your trip in Taipei – enjoying all the museums, historic landmarks, hot springs, walks, surrounding villages towns etc! Possibly aviod: – Personally I would even bother with the likes of Xingchu – I’ve been there a good few times (relatives) and can tell you it’s incredibly dull! – Taichung – you may find is a poor man’s Taipei (or just a city developed because it’s halfway between Taipei and Kaohsiung). Absolute musts!: 1. Hualien – Taroko Gourge in particular – it is not only considered the most beautiful place in Taiwan, but is often featured amongst the top 30 most beautiful places of natural beauty in the world! It’s a marble gourge carved by waterfalls, streams and rivers! Another activity to consider whilst in Hualien is white water rafting, it’s quite safe and very fun! 2. Ali shan (Ali mountain) – The old Japanese train leaves the small town of JiaYi and moves though the rice fields acending to tropical forest, then sub tropical, then bamboo forests then finally alpine forests at the top of the mountain – the whole journey takes about 4-5 hours and is very sceneic. At the Top of the mountain there is a village resort – I recomend staying at least 2 nights – you should make sure you see the fabulous sun rise. You can also go on a tour to see a 3000 year old tree and monkeys that live in the surrounding forrest! Fantastic! Think about: 1. Sun Moon Lake. 2. Whale/Dolphin spotting at either Keelung, Yi Lan or Hualien – they’ll take you out on a boat for the day! Finally – you need more time in Taipei! I think these few suggestions should give some food for thought!
