Hotel Rooms and Their Classification

Just as there is a variety of hotels in the hotel industry today, there is also a huge variety of hotel rooms available as well. These rooms vary in size and shape, depending on the number of beds in the room.So if you want to book a hotel room for yourself, you have to first understand the classification of hotel rooms.

Rooms for single people are the basic hotel room.If the word en-suite follows it, then it means that the room has a private bathroom.Once upon a time, there was a common bathroom for hotel rooms. However, today all hotel rooms have their own bathroom.Hotel rooms thus seldom use en-suite in describing their rooms.

Double rooms are rooms meant for two people; it may have two single beds or a queen sized bed.Triple rooms are meant for three people and have single or double beds in them.

The size of the bed does not determine the name of the room; it is basically based on the number of guests expected to stay in the room that gives it its name.Apart from these rooms, you also have suite rooms.

Suite rooms have more than one room; they  have a living room and a bedroom. In many cases, you can also find a small kitchen found in the suite room. The luxury suites are similar, but bigger with more extras.Don’t assume the luxury suites of different hotels to be similar as different hotels offer different features in their rooms.

Another name for these suite rooms are apartment and family rooms and you find two bedrooms in the family room.Newly wedded couples should spend their honeymoon in the honeymoon suite of hotels, for a memorable holiday. This is why you have to be specific while renting rooms, to ensure that you get the right quotes for the right hotel rooms in the right hotels.
